To provide a global platform for discussion, coordination, and data-sharing between key wildlife experts involved in influenza monitoring, management and research.
To provide early warning to stakeholders of emerging threats of influenza involving wildlife.
To provide OFFLU with technical expertise on influenza in wildlife.
To respond to specific technical requests on influenza involving wildlife.
To provide technical guidance to stakeholders on monitoring, management and research on influenza involving wildlife.
To proactively engage with other OFFLU groups and committees, ensuring the One Health approach.
To regularly review OFFLU’s guidance on monitoring, management and research priorities on influenza in wildlife.
To provide advice on preventing transmission of influenza from domestic and farmed animals and humans into wildlife and so protect wildlife health.
To provide technical guidance on managing influenza in such a way as to minimize detrimental impact on biodiversity and to maximize benefits to biodiversity.
